Mom, Dad, & Me

This FC LEHIGH Academy Program consists of age appropriate (2-3.5 years of age) games using colors, animals, shapes, numbers, etc, all revolving around learning basic soccer skills such as dribbling, shooting, and passing.Mommy, Daddy, & me, and as the name suggests, it is a parent participation class. FC Lehigh offers year-round classes at various locations throughout the Lehigh Valley. This is a child development program that utilizes soccer as the medium to encourage motor skill development and cognitive ability while creating a positive bonding experience between parent and young child. Classes are generally 45 minutes in length.

Equipment: Provided by Nike & KwikGoal

The Nike & KwikGoal equipment we use in all our programs is the same equipment that is used by some of the top professional clubs in the world, like Manchester United.  Our experience has taught us exactly the right equipment to help our coaches deliver first-class sessions. And Nike & KwikGoal has helped to make that possible.   

The soccer fitness equipment consists of fast feet ladders, hurdles, slalom poles and reaction belts. All of which are used to assist the children with the development of their own S Factor — speed, strength, suppleness, stamina and skill. The physical demands of today’s game places great emphasis on players being able to make a difference especially within close matches. Having that extra fitness level to call upon could prove the difference between winning and losing — that is why the football fitness training has become a key part of any FCL Academy program.

Mini goals were introduced into the program this year to support our small sided game philosophy. The players who attend a FCL Academy program are introduced to the 4v4/5v5 games system which FCL Academy is so well know for using. The players are encouraged to express themselves within these games — conditioned practices with the goals being a fundamental aspect of knowing when? where? & what? type of shooting technique to use within a small sided game situation.
